Has anyone who has recently visited the site seen any construction in progress for RT7? I know that PL keep saying that construction has started (I've heard from others that PL have been saying that since last year) and that second payment is due but we have no proof that it actually has and I'd be interested in hearing from someone who has recently been on site.

Property-Logic have compacted the ground on the RT-7 plot and prepared it for construction.

Following that they have had to apply for permission to start construction. In Morocco, this is granted by an "Avis D'Ouverture de Chantier".

Once in receipt of this document they are able to start the building work.

The document is signed by the architect and the contracted building company and mentions the deadline of 21 months to complete the construction (meaning March 2009).

Although signed off in early June, I understand that the Avis D'Ouverture de Chantier was only physically received by Property Logic last week (w/c 16/07/07), so they are now in the process of putting together the building team to make a start on construction.

I believe that building work should start in August or early September at the latest.

I've got a copy of the Avis D'Ouverture de Chantier and will e-mail this to Popcorn so that it can be distributed to the owners.

Cheers

Crimbo

PL have recently confirmed that it is okay to await the photos to confirm actual start of construction before making the 2nd payment.

PL have confirmed today that a new company, BEC Concepcion, will be building the RT7 development. They are signing the building contract on Monday, August 20, machinery will be moved on site August 24th and the actual start of works as per the contract is September 3rd 2007.

They will publish photos on their website to confirm this.

I have asked PL for an update but as yet I have heard nothing, I can only presume that there has been another delay

Latest from PL

The team is now on site. The portacabine has arrived on site. The topograph was marking the land last Friday. Now the plot is being fenced for security of the materials on site and digging of the foundations is starting in the next few days.

I am promised photos when digging starts and will email everyone when received.

Hi, I've received photos from SV of what they term " the foundations and structure phase of building" so I assume these will be hitting the LJDF website shortly.
Don't want to post them here because not sure of copyright etc
They show leveling sticks in ground, men on site, blocks on site and a couple of lads having a snooze in the shade of a lorry!!!

It's official - construction has now started.

I've emailed out the photos to Group members. PL did email it out to all the agents and solicitors at the beginning of the week, but so far it's only Saffron Villas who have been diligent in forwarding it on.
