You need to check exactly what the fees include – (i.e. Bennett charge an additional £350 for preparing a power of attorney). No VAT is applicable on fees from UK firms; 16% VAT for Spanish, 20% for Moroccan and 21% VAT for Irish companies.
Most fees are based on the purchase price of the property and are quoted in either Euros or Sterling and are approximately 1%. If you are buying more than two properties, you will be able to negotiate further discounts.
