I'm looking for recommendations of companies used to arrange mortgages through in Morocco.

Also, I'm interested in some clarification as I've been advised to arrange a mortgage in principle asap even though my off plan apartment will not be ready for over 2 years. Is this normal practice, as I wasn't going to bother with it until much later?

The developer and/or agent should be able to assist you in obtaining a mortgage as they will often have contacts with one of the leading Moroccan banks.

In Saidia town there are a number of banks - Arab Bank Morocco, Banque Commerciale du Maroc,
Banque Populaire du Maroc (also have a branch in Paddington, London)
Banque Marocaine du Commerce Exterieur (BMCE), Credit du Maroc and Wafabank.

I also understand that Societe Generale will be taking space in the commercial centre. I am buying through Superior Group and they are arranging the mortgages through SocGen.
