I understand from the recent literature I have seen for RT6 (Sahara Beach) that there will be one hotel operator who will be managing all the LJDF resorts. As all the RT6 apartments have a guaranteed rental leaseback, what do people think about having just the one company to manage all the various sites? Obviously they will be seeking to rent out all the Sahara apartments before the others and where will that leave us on RT7 or RT2? Would it not be better to have a couple of companies so that there can be some competition as surely different properties need to be marketed differently. I know that once it is up and running we will be able to vote out any management company through the owners committee, but I would prefer to see some competition initially.

Having one company to manage all the different resorts will certainly make for better economies of scale. For instance, an entertainments programme and clubs for different ages will be organised for each of the plots. But in the quieter periods it would make sense for these clubs to be amalgamated.

In terms of marketing the plots then I would imagine that different companies would handle different plots. For instance a golf holiday company might be interested in handling the golf villas on VVT8 while another may only be interested in marketing apartments.

Saffron Villas have a posting on their website of a rental management agency for LJDF/Saidia so I'd imagine competition can only be a good thing, but I echo OP point, with a vested interest in RT6, remaining plots could be just allocated residuals
